Jacob Zuma has admitted that Floyd Shivambu was correct about the future of political parties like the MKP.

Zuma says South Africans no longer trust his party because of nepotism, elite capture, broken promises, corruption, fatigue and selfishness.

Zuma now says the future lies in what Floyd proposed: the formation of a broader Movement to drive social change.

He has effectively copied the Afrika Mayibuye Movement model, a Movement with a political party and multiple sub-organisations under it.

His new Movement is called the MKP Institute, to be led by John Hlophe.

The MKP will report to the MKPI, which in turn reports to Zuma himself.
