My youngest daughter Julia joined me for poetry recitals at Maranatha House in Wellington last week. Together we shared some classic Australian poetry from Banjo and Henry, along with a few modern pieces — including a poem I’ve just written about Australia’s transition to EVs.
I joined the Rotary Club of Dubbo South last century.
That sounds like a long time ago until you realise our club itself has now celebrated its 60th anniversary.
On the weekend, members past and present came together to mark this significant milestone.

A special afternoon of poetry at Kintyre.
I had the privilege of sharing some poetry with residents — and as I looked out across the room, I spotted some very familiar faces. Barry Grady, Wally Flynn, Maureen McKay, Gary Barnes… names that have helped shape Dubbo!
A great morning out near Wellington inspecting progress at the Uungula Wind Farm alongside Councillor Richard Ivey and staff from DRC.
This is a major project for our region. Once complete, Uungula will feature 69 turbines with a total generation capacity of 414MW.
Valentine’s Day done right ❤️
Celebrating with my favourite people — my family — and about 90,000 of our closest friends at Ed Sheeran at Accor Stadium 🎶
Not your typical candlelit dinner… but not a bad way to celebrate.
A beautiful session this afternoon at BaptistCare Kintyre Lodge, reciting poetry with the residents — made even more special with my daughter Jules home from Uni to recite alongside me. Loved the smiles, the stories and the Christmas spirit in the room. 🎄📖💛
I had the pleasure of joining the ABC NSW Saturday Panel on 22 November to discuss a range of current topics and share some insights with listeners across the state. Always great to be part of an engaging conversation.
I was honoured to be recognised at the annual LGNSW Awards tonight at the conference in Penrith. It’s a privilege to be acknowledged among so many dedicated people working to strengthen our local communities.
We’re absolutely thrilled to share that axxis has officially been named Dubbo’s Favourite Business at the Dubbo Business Chamber Rhino Awards! 🦏✨
The calibre of Dubbo’s business community was on full display. axxis was a finalist in four categories and a winner in one.
