@GardaTraffic@TFIupdates That's a shocking indictment of the degree of noncompliance among taxi drivers. If you extrapolate that figure across all 25000 taxis nationally it equates to 4000 taxis non compliant which is a staggering possibility
@declanganley@DaddyDaragh And who brought industrial levels of child rape and systemic abuse to practically every diocese across the country ? Indeed sadly it was even exported.
This is a secular society and that secularism grows by the day.
@OldIrishFief@mhantain He's highlighting a very legitimate widespread problem that is going unpunished, what's pathetic is you're criticising a stranger for wanting laws to be enforced. If you can't contribute productivity keep your opinion to yourself.
@thejournal_ie Pesticides has been linked to massive rise Parkinsons disease in recent decades, check out my interview with a leading neurologist on this very subject. Do not be fooled into thinking there are no consequence to Pesticides because they're legal in the EU

@ConorHogarty Ireland indeed has a decades long history of peacekeeping but Ireland also permits American military to use Shannon Airport, the same nation selling 3 billion dollars worth of weapons to Israel annually, weapons being used to bomb Palestine. Ireland can't have it both ways.
@davidmcw Nimbyism is a symptom of not having a countrywide gov housing strategy. If the gov took on the role of chief House builder as it did in decades past, if it had a clear strategy, people might buy into it. But when there's no coherent plan people will fear change in their locale.
@LauraOK99012729@oliver_moran@CorkGreens@greenparty_ie@GNBCORK If your only exposure to a public representative is to their poster on a street lamp in the week before an election then that particular rep has completely failed in getting their message to the electorate. Posters are an archaic and wasteful method of advertising.
@oliver_moran@CorkGreens@greenparty_ie@GNBCORK When in Italy existing billboards are used to show all constituency candidates simultaneously on each billboard. Allowing individual candidates free reign to post leads to a visually offensive landscape, its a safety issue in high winds and contributes to litter. This must change
@MichealMartinTD Just imagine how many irish people would still be alive if tobacco products had been banned outright in 2004. Now is the time to do it, and let's ban vapes too, the evidence of lung damage caused by vapes already exists.
@CyclingInKK I disagree that a scheme that perpetuates the use of plastic can be deemed a success. We need to abandon plastic, not just for the environment, but evidence exists of the dangers of microplastics to health, something rarely mentioned here. We have an alternative, glass.
