@EmporiumMaths @MathsNot Thanks for the super helpful clarification. Is there a list of such content that needs explicit coverage? Or is it all specified in the spec?
@EmporiumMaths @MathsNot can you confirm that FM AS students don't need to know how to use F = 'mu' x R in the Further Mechanics 1 exam? I've always taught it (to Y12) but it seems friction is always given
📢 Ok, get this...at @SparxMaths we've created the most AWESOME GCSE Crossover Workbooks (1 per strand) to support revision for those Qs that appear on both Foundation and Higher tiers. All you've got to do is like and retweet this and I'll send you your FREE copy next week 📢
Everyone says: “Focus on the Process.”
The best coaches all preach process.
Why?
Here's why everyone preaches focus on the process, what we get wrong, and how to apply the concepts in your life:
@missnmaths@mathsjem@mrbartonmaths@Just_Maths@AQAMaths I once had a student who did this - a remedy which worked was he had a personalised starter for a week or two of just practising writing 5s. I was surprised it stuck! He was in Y10 or 11.
Looking for a non-smartphone for my Y6 kid and came across @GabbWireless, sadly only in the US for now! Please come to the UK! I'm sure @Miss_Snuffy would agree
Before I reinvent the wheel, has anybody created a list of Qs from full A Level Further Maths past papers (Edexcel) that are suitable for Y12s doing AS FM? Some are suitable and provide excellent challenge, others less so as they rely upon Y2 content. @MathsNot @EmporiumMaths
Also, a recommendation for an update to the Further Mechanics 1 book would be a section/example on the component of one vector in the direction of another
@EmporiumMaths great news that the practice books are now available for free via ActiveLearn, though my students and I couldn't see how to access this. Any pointers?
@EmporiumMaths @MathsNot Does the Emporium contain performance statistics on individual past exam questions? Ie performance overall and by those who got grade A, B etc. If it does then it has eluded me! Looking for Core Pure stats.
This is just…we don’t even know where to start with this. We are doing our absolute best to keep our heads above water and save as many lives as possible. And then we log on to see this.
If you support us and the NHS staff who will be watching this please will you RT & follow?
