@pnabbie@SC_ATLL A5: Veterans, I know you have some great tips to share. We are in the early stages, but I would say to start small and go deep with one of the visible learning practices. We are planning to go deep with Learning Intentions and Success Criteria this year. @SC_ATLL
@TekoaJones@SC_ATLL A3: Follow through is so important. Our word this year is intentionality. And you are right, just writing it on the board is not the same as explaining what they are learning! @SC_ATLL#loveSCschools
Let's grow together on this #VisibleLearning Journey. Veteran Schools: What's one tip you would share with teams new to implementation? Drop your wisdom below and remember to use A5 in your answer. @SC_ATLL#loveSCschools#VisibleLearning
A4: When teachers collaborate to unpack standards, design common success criteria, and look at student work together, they leave feeling more confident and supported. It's a shared ownership of learning for teachers and students. #visiblelearning
@pnabbie@SC_ATLL Yes, this has been a challenge for us. We've had to shift the mindset and discuss how clarity can actually take things off of our plates and not add more things to what we are doing.
@CoachGrase That has been a good conversation in our district. We spend a lot of time building good students, but sometimes we forget to focus on those good learner characteristics.
A2: I think the biggest impact comes from clarity. Students need to know what they are learning, why they are learning it and what success looks like. When we have clear learning intentions and success criteria, Tier 1 instruction becomes stronger.
