This birthday, I decided to do something a little different❤️

Instead of waiting to be celebrated, I chose to celebrate others, particularly the men who are often overlooked when humanitarian efforts are organised.

We talk a lot about supporting women and children, and rightly so. But sometimes, we forget that men also struggle, go hungry, face silent battles and need a little kindness.

So, I took to the streets with packs of rice and beans, a simple meal with a simple message: men deserve to be cared for, too.

And honestly, the smiles, conversations and reactions reminded me that sometimes, the smallest gestures can mean the most. When i first listened to Brotherly by @timidakolo l paused for a while and imagined how life would have been for me if i was a man. Are things easy because i’m a lady? Maybe I’ll never know.

I may have added another year to my age, but this year, I wanted to add a little joy to someone else’s day.

Here’s to celebrating humanity, challenging stereotypes and reminding the world that kindness has no gender❤️
