@reed131742@Clete27@NjTank99@FOXSports Even at the World Cup in Qatar, they didn’t do that. Of course they are ( fifa and companies ) waiting to put as much commercial as they can.
📺 Telemundo TV commentator: "We are one of the only networks in the world to NOT show ads during the World Cup cooling breaks."
"We prefer the old school way. We should be able to see what the players do. We show fans, people enjoying, not the corporate direction of football."
@reed131742@Clete27@NjTank99@FOXSports I don’t think FIFA is behind this. The idea probably comes from the Americans. In the Champions League or national team matches, they usually show maybe one celebrity during the whole game. Apart from that, it’s usually heads of state or former footballers.
@regurgmethod@ArchysLife You’d be higher up, but you wouldn’t be dominant—that’s my opinion. In football, your body and especially your legs need to be adapted to the sport far more than your hands. It’s easier to develop highly refined hand skills than highly refined foot skills
@NobletStrength When will Americans realize that being a great athlete doesn’t automatically make you a good football player? Realistically, they would only make sense in two positions

@Soonernator@24thminute Leaving the whole debate aside, the situation in Poland is pretty bad. I’ve seen a few training sessions in my city and they looked terrible. It honestly made the sport less appealing to me. A play lasts 10–20 seconds, then you spend 10 minutes setting up the next one. Rugby is
