Former Jahangirnagar University Economics Professor Anu Muhammad sustained severe injury today when he fell while disembarking from a train in the Khilgaon Crossing area. As a result, all the toes on his left foot had to be amputated. Shockingly, instead of showing compassion, a group of individuals has chosen to mock and ridicule the elderly professor, displaying a blatant lack of empathy and respect in our society.

In a disturbing parallel, the City Corporation's Heat Officer, Bushra, has faced relentless trolling for simply suggesting the use of a fan to fend off the scorching heat. Rather than appreciating a simple and practical solution, certain individuals have opted to taunt and tease her throughout the day, as if the concept of a portable hand fan is completely alien to them.

The same individuals who are shamelessly mocking Professor Anu Muhammad's tragic accident are also targeting Bushra for her innocent suggestion regarding the fan.

This convergence of callous behavior underscores the depths of social decay that have taken root in our community. It is a shameful reflection of our collective failure to uphold basic values of compassion, understanding, and decency in our society.
