@APMatoacaES The teacher leads the focus lesson. During the guided lesson students are working in small groups and the teacher is checking for understanding.
@APMatoacaES The model is similar to our math block. We start with a number talk or spiral review. We follow that with a whole group lesson. The last segment is used for remediation for individuals. The rest of the rest of the students are involved in games and activities
@APMatoacaES A naked task is usually solved by using an algorithm. a good task would have students explore solutions without much guidance from the teacher.
@APMatoacaES It breaks the math block down to several components. It starts off with a new talk. The next part has students working on a math task. The teacher stands back and lets the students do the talking.
