@MsNtuli The Egyptians and Libyans(economic hubs in North Africa then) did not scapegoat immigrants in their country for their problems but came together with them to collectively depose thuggish leaders who were behind the kleptocracy, unemployment and poverty in that region.
The Arab Spring was about getting rid of the root problem, dictators and corrupt politicians. South African protests is about scapegoating African migrants, because the vigilante and xenophobic mob is scared to target politicians who are the root cause of our problems
Cape Town had little to no violence because extortionists protected businesses owned by Africans.
The extortionists are South African.
But March and March will tell you crime in South Africa is caused by Africans when most Africans in townships are victims of crime themselves.
@MsNtuli Thanks to the preparation and coordination of the South African police service and private security companies, otherwise the barbaric afrophobes would have slaughtered innocent people.
@AdriaanBasson And then we are told that illegal immigrants are the problem when the man who brought this country to its knees is still mingling with a family that stole billions of rands in taxpayers money.
@PhilMphela Don't think that the prejudice of those violent hooligans ends with undocumented migrants, they also despise members of the LGBTQIA community so good luck with your support.
@PhilMphela All those aggressive hooligans who were on our streets have no legal authority to verify the legal status of anyone in this country to begin with. That's where your criticism should start!
@tlalane "Staying out" means being indifferent to what is clearly an abuse of people's rights because we don't have the "lived experience" of people in townships or rural South Africa which is a weak and cowardly argument.
How can a senior reporter of eNCA ask if this gentlemen from Malamulele, Limpopo, whether he is in the country legally? He clearly stated that he is from Limpopo.
What is this? This is unacceptable from Aviwe @eNCA
[WATCH] A march against illegal immigration in Johannesburg turned violent this afternoon as the crowd attempted to break into a local liquor store and stones were thrown. SAPS has arrived on the scene to manage the situation as the demonstration continues to grow. #June30
