@AdamMilstein A truly remarkable act of courage under unimaginable circumstances. Captain Smit Machchhar’s quick thinking and bravery helped protect so many lives. Wishing him a full and speedy recovery. 🙏🏽🇮🇳🇮🇱
It’s just an incredible story and I wish him all the best for a full recovery, both physically and mentally, because it must have been the most terrifying experience.
I also congratulate those who overpowered his attacker and those who picked up the controls and safely landed the plane.
Everyone’s actions averted a terrible catastrophe and although I am certain all those on board will struggle with the after-effects of this for a long time they are all still with us tonight.
@AdamMilstein I always say, if I spot a terrorist trying to take a plane down, I am going straight for him and taking him down, rather than sitting and watching.
Of course in this case, imagine if he didn’t open the door!
@AdamMilstein This man needs a fucking medal for heroism & full retirement for his contribution for his actions that saved the plane from crashing.
And whoever took control of the plane, same deal, give them full retirement & a shit ton of compensation money.
@AdamMilstein Agreed. A very brave and dauntless pilot who no doubt saved many lives. A hero indeed. And recognition is also due to those passengers and crew who came to his rescue and neutralized his assailant. Bravo!
@AdamMilstein We all are grateful to the Capt for showing the world what bravery & quick thinking looks like, in the face of certain death for him and all the innocents in his charge. Bravo Sir. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
@AdamMilstein A pocket knife in the cockpit, carried by a pilot. That alone is a terrorism-related security trigger.
How did it get through the aviation security system at one of the world’s most modern airports?
Does the world really believe that everyone comes with good intentions?
