The reason many people do not get called by government departments is because they make mistakes when completing this section of the application.

If the advertised position is EPWP: Data Capturer, write the position exactly as it appears in the advert: EPWP: Data Capturer. Do not write only Data Capturer.

If the vacancy was not advertised under EPWP, then you can simply write Data Capturer.

For the department, write the full name exactly as it appears in the advert. For example, write KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health, not just Health or Department of Health.

For the Reference Number, copy it exactly as it appears in the advert. For example, write KZNDH/07/2026/0013, not 07/2026/0013 or Health 07/2026.

Always copy the job title, department name, and reference number exactly as they appear in the advertisement to avoid unnecessary mistakes.

A joint anti-smuggling operation has recovered a stolen luxury vehicle worth R2.2 million and led to the arrest of a 46-year-old suspect on the N1 near Makhado, Limpopo.

Police, working with private security partners, intercepted a white Toyota Land Cruiser ZX that was allegedly being transported from Gauteng to be smuggled out of South Africa via the Beitbridge Port of Entry.

The vehicle had been reported stolen in Benoni on 18 July.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 27 July, on charges of possessing a suspected stolen vehicle and driving without a valid licence.

Investigations are continuing.

Good day Office of the Public Service Commission,

I hereby lodge a formal complaint in terms of section 196(4)(f) of the Constitution, read with PSC Rules on Conducting Investigations (2017).

The Complaint concerns the Department of Home Affairs on three grounds:
(i) A conflict of interest arising from an Immigration Advisory Board appointment;
(ii) Systemic shortcomings in the Department’s legal representation as documented by the courts (2012-2026); and
(iii) The risk of exposure of privileged litigation information to a Board member employed by the litigating counter-party.
