@JuanchoS@GentleDoofus@LexG_III Blind buying a classic film with a Criterion or Arrow release when they’re at 50% isn’t completely indefensible given you can probably get back most of what you paid for it on Ebay and if you like it, you now own a classic in a premium release. This is ridiculous though.
@LexG_III I can sorta understand blind buying a classic you’ve never seen if you can get it on sale and want to see it in a quality format/can resell it for close to what you paid. I don’t understand whatever this is. Who’s buying this on the resale market or will it just now waste space?
@beemothuggerr@kingCanadian31@JohnnyGiunta_ Big Dault going 0 for 9 in Game 6 and 7 leaving 13 runners on base with the game on his bat in both games multiple times was a far bigger culprit but Hoffman was the easier scapegoat.
@OkamotoisKing7@kingCanadian31@JohnnyGiunta_ The guy has like 8 teams in his bio. The first Jays game he watched last year was Game #162 and he probably stopped watching this year in May. Just ignore the bandwagoners.
@SamAMcKee Unforgivable and then has an all-time bad contract year. Get this guy off my club (he’s homering against us in this series but I don’t care).
@BluePalaski_@thegoldenmuzzy Also not really a “bang” when it implies feeling celebratory over giving up one of the few star players who actually relished being a Blue Jay because we had a lost season after being 2 outs away from a WS. Bizarre tone.
@tdot416995@JohnnyGiunta_ It’s because he had a miracle postseason run and like half our fanbase are Leaf fans who have just been subjected to a decade of franchise players shrinking in the playoffs. But we can cherish that while calling this season for what it is
@Tomas_TDE@brysonbetts87@JohnnyGiunta_ Springer is 37 years old brother and has had a million injuries. Vlad has three K’s tonight and just hammered a middle middle meatball into the dirt.
@LexG_III Just makes me think about all the minimum wage workers who would kill for the luxury/freedom to be able to live alone and he’s somehow managing it while spending buckets on nonsense.
@rickdank_o@LexG_III Yeah, the debt reveal and the “I finally got a real job and quit after one day” videos are two of the most astonishing things I’ve seen on YouTube.
@LexG_III I have quite a few Criterion/Arrow titles because I acknowledge they do a good job with their releases and they are worth it if they are on sale and you have actually seen, liked, and know you’ll rewatch the thing several times. It doesn’t seem like rocket science to me.
@LexG_III The movies don’t matter for most of the physical media obsessives tbh. They just want a cool case/cover. Blind buying $30-$40 boutique label blu-rays gotta be the most ridiculous trend I’ve ever seen. Monty posted like a 7 movie haul worth $200-$250 and he hadn’t seen any of them
