I have written about this. I did a refugee 101 tutorial. Refugee status means you are not safe in your own country. You cannot return for Healthcare, funerals, weddings a braai. Akere you "fled?"

But does that mean a refugee can NEVER return home and re-enter the US? No. They can. BUT MUST FIRST apply for a Refugee Travel Document from USCIS BEFORE leaving the United States. Travelling without it may prevent re-entry. That's all.

JOHANNESBURG DISTRICT FCS UNIT APPEALS TO THE PUBLIC TO ASSIST IN LOCATING A PERSON OF INTEREST

The Johannesburg District Family Violence, #ChildProtection and Sexual Offences Unit is requesting assistance from members of the public in identifying and locating a person of interest who can assist them with investigations into a rape case that was reported in Dobsonville on 01 September 2026.

It is alleged that the victim was walking along the street to a local shop, when a white Toyota Quantum with three unknown male occupants approached her. One of the men allegedly forced her into the vehicle, after which they drove to an unknown open area where she was allegedly raped.

The person depicted in the attached photograph may have information that can assist the police with the ongoing investigations.

Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of this person is urged to contact the Investigating Officer, Detective Sergeant Ntobong, on 067 100 2282, their nearest police station, or the SAPS CrimeStop number on 08600 10111.

🚨 Missing person alert: Gia Jansen

15-year-old Gia Jansen has been reported missing after she left her home in Klipfontein on Monday, 14 September 2026, at around 06:15 in scholar transport to Hoërskool Kempton Park.

The driver says she was dropped at school, but the school reports that she was absent. Gia has not returned home.

A missing person case has been opened at Rabie Ridge Police Station, and detectives are investigating.

Anyone with information that could help locate Gia can contact Haylee Mphahlele on 061 480 8414, Rabie Ridge Police Station on 08600 10111 or 112 from a mobile phone.
