Ugly scene happening in college baseball right now after the draft.
Players being cut a week before arriving on campus due to expected draft picks not being selected.
Parents and players beware!

Charlie Bussey III (@fmupatsbaseball, drafted in the 11th round by the Giants) is the fourth D2 player to be drafted.
CB III was the D2 Baseball Player of the Year, as he slashed .489/.604/.866 with 22 2Bs, 21 HRs, 77 RBI, and 40 SB.
Congrats Charlie!

I remember after last year's Braves "effort" saying that Tim Hyers needed to go and being told, "oh, it's his first year," "he was a World Series hitting coach with the Rangers," and a bunch of other excuses.
It's year 2 and everyone in the lineup sucks. Now what?
Dominic Santarelli is exactly what you’d expect at the MLB Draft Combine BP cage… violent, thunderous bat speed. Massive power. Seven balls north of 114 MPH for the @LSUbaseball commit.

Jason Caulder ('28, SC)⬇️
Well-sequenced swing continues to produce loud contact with opposite field 3B and another RBI.

Absolute legend in the Southeast. This man is what made a lot of us love the Braves as kids. It was such a privilege getting to watch games with him managing the team.
Matt Olson is having a monster year. Leads all of MLB in WAR, RBIs and runs, is atop the National League with 13 home runs and just hit a go-ahead homer to dead center off Andrés Muñoz. Atlanta has the best record in MLB in large part because of Olson.
Stingers win 4-1 over Gaston in the semifinals of the Region 10 Tournament. We improve to 48-10 overall and advance to the Region 10 Championship Monday at 11am.
Sports is the most underrated talent development system in America.
- Harvard/NBER tracked 400,000 Ivy grads over 25 years. Athletes earned 3.4% more and reached more senior positions, even after controlling for school, major, and industry.
- Ohio State: Adults who played youth sports scored significantly higher on grit. Adults who quit scored lower.
- Gallup: 42% of former college athletes are “highly engaged” at work vs. 38% of non-athletes.
This is the thesis behind Texas Sports Academy. Sports develop winners in life, not just on the field
2 plays away from taking the series. The energy the last 2 games is what us fans are used to. Let these guys be dudes and see what happens. Clean up the little things will turn this season.
