So basically the #Sabres wanted to extend both D Bowen Byram and F Alex Tuch, but Byram did not want to negotiate because he wanted to be a No. 1 defenseman somewhere (CHI) and Tuch wanted to make as much money as he could with as much term as possible (WAS).
The Sabres also traded D Michael Kesselring (SJS) after the two sides agreed to mutually part ways, although Buffalo’s camp was willing to be more patient than Kesselring’s was.
I love how open and honest Jarmo Kekäläinen is. It’s so refreshing to hear rather than just the stereotypical GM/PR talk. I have a lot of confidence in this guy and feel like we’re in for a big, splashy summer!

One of the best parts of being good again is you get things like this. Cool moments that just become “things” from now on. Oi! is now a thing. We’ve gone too long not having things. They thought Let Me Clear My Throat was going to be a thing. Nope.
“Hey Pizza Boy, it’s because 40% of the building drove over the Peace Bridge to get there.”
“Now let’s take a ride down I-84 to Bristol… Zero mention of hockey all year long. Then the second the playoffs hit, they roll out a bunch of part-time, semi-retired studio analysts like it’s a charity alumni game.”
This call just kept getting better and better 😂😂🔥🔥

“The people here just love cheering and booing and chugging beers, and we love them for it.”

Owen Power has been an abject disaster in the first 10 minutes of this game. Wonder if the firing of Kevyn Adams, who protected him at all costs, has him a tad frazzled. #Sabres
