So @marksandspencer won't honour my elderly dad's expired gift card - even though they don't put an expiry date on the card ๐ and their gift card query phone line cost us ยฃ1 a minute ๐๐. Customer service petty and unhelpful. So won't ever shop there again.
@linholden@marksandspencer Good advice :) I DID email the CEO! Were unhelpful. Said there's an expiry from the 'first transaction' which any customer would read as meaning 'when you first use it' but they said it means 'when the card was bought'. But it was a gift from someone else!
@reddit_liars@marksandspencer The number on the back of that gift particular card, 08456045604, was indeed premium rate. No lie. They may have now changed to a lower rate for current cards.
