Matt Bollenbacher got called up from A-ball to AAA Rochester for a game against Worcester last week and retired top MLB prospects Roman Anthony (#2) and Marcelo Mayer (#11).

Source: The #Nats have signed another NDFA with pitcher Matt Bollenbacher from Dallas Baptist University. He has a 3-pitch mix with an upper 90's fastball, a changeup at 90, and a slider in the mid-80s.

Funny coincidence is that as we also reported the #Nats won't sign James Ellwanger who is committed to Dallas Baptist University, but get Matt Bollenbacher from that same school. This is the same school that Rizzo drafted Jake Johansen from in 2013 with the team's top pick that year.
