MEM is a similar case study, even if Ja wasn't a headcase, once they got hit by the sal cap and had to trade Bane, Melton and Brooks (yuck), they sank.

The NBA seems to finally be moving away from guys that are pure scorers but otherwise empty calories in a lineup (Mathurin and even Jalen Green are kinda in that mold). Wish JK the best.
