On Ray Allsopp’s passing (Rich/Auskick): part of underrated Australian sporting family. His father Arthur played with Bradman for NSW and was first to hit tons on debut for two states (NSW, Vic). Norma (Ray’s sister): softball for Aust 1954-72. Aus sport Hall of Fame (1965 team).

2019-now: The Melbourne ‘shrine’ came down in 2019, after family home sold after 46 years. The team poster is from 2020. And the 2021 GF footy record (along with ‘64) means we’re back contending. What a day! And one of my fav pics: Dad and me in 1983. Carn’ the Dees! #giveemhell

For this almost 45-yr-old, it’s not lost on me what it means for @melbournefc to be in the GF. I’m incredibly thankful. I started barracking for Melbourne around 1981 (maybe a tad before) - choosing over Carlton and the Dogs. I should’ve been Hawthorn, due to nearest and dearest.
