Baseball is moving from “feel” to data but most players still get missed. If you throw 92 with no scout around, it’s like it never happened. That’s the gap ScoutEdge targets.
Admin remembers playing at backwoods perfect game fields where there was only a radar gun. “Showcase” tournaments where 90% of sites don’t even display velo. Those days are over

@MANDEL1040@CommishSmith You're right. That's better, but still pretty horrible. Imagine how much the burden of their employment is compared to what they generate.
In 2015, a high school pitcher who threw 90 got recruited. In 2026, a pitcher who throws 90 gets asked: “What’s your vertical break? What does your slider shape look like? Send me your pitch data.”
The game changed. Here’s how — and why it matters for every HS arm in America. 🧵
The Robotics team from Wissahickon High School in Ambler, Pennsylvania, built the robot Miss Daisy XXIV that picks up balls and shoots them into a container.
They gave Trump an off-ramp and he didn't take it. Lifting tariffs completely would have been a win for the economy and would have helped the GOP at mid-terms.

ScoutEdge - Internal Validation vs TrackMan
We've been asked for TrackMan comparisons, so here's an early look at our internal validation.
The charts shows 18 pitches plotted pitch-by-pitch where both ScoutEdge and TrackMan captured the same pitch. These are shown for visual clarity - plotting the full dataset would be unreadable.
Across our full internal validation set, median absolute error for core metrics is:
- Velocity: 1.89 mph
- Induced VB: 1.28 in
- HB: 0.46 in
A small number of pitches show larger discrepancies (pitch #4 in the charts), often tied to early occlusion on very low pitches - we're working on this.
We'll follow up with additional plots and data as we publish the full validation set.
Mount your phone behind home plate. Tag 5 landmarks. Press record. That's it.
