@JamesSurowiecki The game is ridiculously simple for each individual player. Running back, take the ball, run. Big fat blocker, block your man. Catcher guy, make predetermined run, try catch. Even the QB which is most complicated has a predetermined play and has to do some in the moment decisions

But hitting a baseball and being a running back is so narrow in terms of skill required its laughable. It cant be compared to real football.

I dont get why the US has this notion that they are genetically superior to the rest of the world and would dominate football if they wanted. The truth is the US has an awful sporting culture and selfish attitudes. Even if you put everything you had into the football you would never have the hunger or passion that a dirt poor kid in Brazil has.

Football is the world greatest sport because it is the most technical. You cant have 7ft giants dunking without jumping. Your steroid infused teenagers aren't going to be able to dribble or have a good first touch. And foreigners are dominating basketball.

No condoning anything they did. But by definition they are fighting for freedom from a foreign invader. Thats just a fact.

And what type of fighter are the brits? They bomb, they murder, they torture for what? What cause are they fighting for? To control a foreign country and people. How nice.

But they did bomb our country, regularly. Not Palestine level, thats a pretty high bar to be fair. But the British army did actively work with loyalists to commit terror in ireland. Don't act like they have any moral high ground.

And ye I dont support IRA bombings. Especially ones killing innocent people. But 800 years of occupation against one the world biggest army's you dont have much options. They are literally freedom fighters you gobshite. There would be no IRA bombs without the British occupation.

I was responding to the blues lad. But for your comment 'make it make sense'. The British invaded occupied and terrorised the Irish. The Irish responded. The loyalist paramilitaries are basically an extension of the British army. So cant use IRA violence to justify there's.

Its not a chicken and egg situation. We know which one came first.
