Stop being afraid of looking stupid.
You don't look stupid when you try and fail. You look stupid when you sit on your tired furniture eating processed shit out of crinkling bags and cardboard boxes; eyes half open, mouth agape, shoulders slumping.
Try, dammit! Get up and try!
I ALWAYS tip, no matter the service, but if I had of been there w/him (instead of his mom) I wouldn't have because of the pure BS she was doing. You don't throw around sharp shit, disregard the person's wishes, make them look stupid & get tipped *anything* for that nonsense. 8/8
@GreatClips my son just came home from getting a haircut (asked for a TRIM) at your Salem, OR Center St. location looking like a dork. He wasn't very happy & was telling me how the stylist was throwing the combed scissors around because she was pretty upset too. 1/
If you really do @GreatClipsCares: *DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS STYLIST AND LOCATION!!!* before someone walks out with injuries from a stylist who can't control herself around sharp objects and who will listen to clients requests. 7/
@KianAmeli @Dennis_E_Taylor My youngest read and listened to them a long time ago. Both tested at upper highschool level reading and comprehension levels when leaving gradeschool and are still avid readers. Books like these that can get a kids mind growing and wanting more at an early age are great. π€ππ
@KianAmeli @Dennis_E_Taylor That's pretty cool. My oldest has a distain for e/audiobooks & prefers to hold a physical copy since kindergarten h/e 1 day after hearing me listen to these he asked, "Do you have any of those Bob books I can read?" All I had were the above so eBooks suddenly became acceptable π
The Younger Boy performing w/ Salem Youth Symphony at the Historic Elsinore Theatre. When he'd take breaks from sawmills right over in Silverton, Clark Gable would run lines from here in the 1920s. I have some IMO cool photos from when I had free range of the place.
We generally sit on the mezzanine (middle) level for a view of the whole stage, especially with percussion in the back. The balcony at the top is just too many stairs for my broken body to handle getting to.
Same general area as the other photos I've been posting, just about a month prior. About a minute after this we were hit with a nasty hail storm that prevented us from getting some shot of a couple bald eagles weathering the storm in a tree on the other side of the road.
