@blackintheempir Siberia in the far East shares maritime borders with Alaska, borders to the south with china, and obviously Russia’s population is mostly in “European” Russia. This military cocktail has quite the spice and kick to it. Throw nukes in the mix and it’s abhorrent.

The border security situation would be unprecedented and would present challenges for China as well as for the potential fledgling nations.
