They’ll quickly go through their annual Veto Session before starting the Special Session on redistricting and initiative petition reform.

The day begins in Jefferson City with a gathering in the rotunda led by House and Senate Democrats.

There have now been 100 homicides in 2025. That includes a teenage girl who was shot and killed last night near 36th and Norton. She was inside a home there when gunfire came from outside and hit her.
