@seangagen#pmgt6410 Virginia's gerrymandered districts are yet another symptom of an election system in need of a patch. A fair committee model would be an improvement, but as political operatives, we need to see lessons in this. Do we pursue wins at any cost?
@AParkGWU@seangagen I definitely agree; Obama had to face the question of experience, but in this era of Trump and the damage he has done to our international coalitions, experience and international heft will surely play a large role in the campaign. #pmgt6410
@seangagen If Sanders runs, I think Warren will have the most to lose. Not because I think she's a weaker candidate, but because their appeal to specific groups overlaps with The Left and Millennials.
@seangagen Also, I think the only way Biden or Sanders wins the nomination is if they make a pledge to only serve one term, and signal a progressive VP pick. I think if Biden runs, it will be to the detriment of Beto, because it could highlight the Intl experience issue.
@seangagen I think we need to remember that running for President is a good way of demonstrating public support for VP and Cabinet picks as well. I could see Biden as POTUS OR as SecState, for instance. They should both run if they feel they are the best people for the job. #pmgt6410
@Brandon92226247 @seangagen I agree; once he shows his positive approach and inclusive message in the national campaign (instead of just Texas), The Left will be attracted to him in the same manner they were to Obama in 2008.
@seangagen#pmgt6410 I think we will see Biden collect a surprising amount of support from the Hispanic/Latino constituency. His message will almost certainly highlight his international heft, and impress the importance of repairing relations with our allies, including in Central America
