So this isn't exactly new given I've not really tweeted in months, but given the current direction of the platform and y'know... The Guy, I'm not intending to actively be around here anymore
Catch me on some other platform that's at least a little bit less of a dumpster fire ๐
So I got unexpectedly made redundant last week and I'm still grieving for that. To keep myself sane, I'm starting to get stuck back into writing for @cardboardchamps with Ina, so if you like #boardgame waffling, please swing by and drop us a follow! It helps beat back the sadness
@wizzair@WizzAirUK_W9 Well that's good to know! Thanks for the heads-up. Could you possibly follow up on the issues with the chat and UK Existing Bookings line? The phone line is non-functional, and the chat had three agents immediately close the chat without typing when I was finally connected.
Hey @wizzair@WizzAirUK_W9 - Letting me know with less than 24 hours notice that my flight is flying to a different airport 500KM from where I was intending to fly isn't exactly OK, your existing bookings phoneline is broken, and your web chat is useless. Am I just screwed here?
One more addition to this - The whole reason I can't do anything about this myself is because it's been put through as a "terminal change" not a significant flight schedule change. Yes, changing to a terminal at a different airport that's 500km away is indeed a terminal change...
@wizzair@WizzAirUK_W9 Oh hey, I managed to get through after repeated attempts to your chat. Three times. And had the agents immediately leave the chat without saying anything. What is even the point of this?
@aliDasDnD "I love it, that's canon now" is one of the most important things you can say. Nobody has a complete vision of a world with any real depth, the whole beauty of actual reality is that it's shaped by different people with different perspectives. RPG worlds should be no different!
@ultimatesekman @TheLeetist@sjfostersound@baldursgate3@larianstudios I'm hoping they implement more of 5e in BG3, because right now it is lacking even what customization 5e has - no multiclassing, few archetypes, barely any feats, no racial customization or custom origins. What's limited in BG3 early access right now isn't due to 5e
@JeffSabbar @TheLeetist@sjfostersound@baldursgate3@larianstudios That worked fine single player, but multiplayer it was always trash. The arguments that broke out over people pausing and unpausing at the world possible moments were painful at LAN parties. I understand that some want that single player experience, but for coop it's fantastic!
One of the few downsides of fully remote working appears - power cut has taken me offline, and my laptop has run out of battery. Local coffee shops within walking distance have no power sockets available for customer use. If the world could catch up, that would be great!
@colinn1990 @wizards_magic A) they don't, B) that's a part of the game you need to learn to play around. Don't vomit your entire hand if you think one's coming, include things in your deck that can resist it if it happens (counterspells, reanimate effects, indestructible), and/or get value before they die.
Noticing a sad trend in the flavours of LinkedIn sales spam that I've had since changing roles:
Old: "Hey I like CS, you like CS, let's talk and network (also by the way I'm selling something)"
New: "BUY MY PRODUCT, CONNECT WITH ME TO BUY, PLEASE"
I like the old version more.
@ChrisWalter89 We use StreamElements, and honestly I kinda prefer it. It's less polished but suuuuper light by comparison to Streamlabs. When we stream board games, we have to run it off a crappy netbook because we're not at a computer. SL makes it catch fire, SE just works.
Finally had someone DM me a torrent of abuse for my "PC bull" today. I feel like I'm finally worthy of joining some elite club of people who are capable of having empathy...
