Texans, you deserve to know the truth about what your state government is planning - WITHOUT YOUR APPROVAL.
This plan will cost you $100+ more on your yearly electric bills, make your property up for grabs via government condemnation and cost taxpayers up to $100 billion.
Big Tech is asking the state government for 4,000 more miles of electrical cables throughout the center of the state: funded by YOU for THEIR data centers.
The government is edging toward giving this sweetheart deal to them.
This is already ridiculous because Texas will have the MOST data centers by 2030, even though 93% of Texas is privately owned.
Maybe I’m old fashioned but I don’t think Texans should be paying for data centers they didn’t agree to fund.
In the end, it’s not about the power lines. It’s about who has control and who can make decisions with your tax dollars.
Texans, are you aware of this?
Big Tech is asking that Texas build THOUSANDS of miles of power lines across the entire state, for all the data centers.
Here are the facts:
4,000 MORE miles
$33,000,000,000 capital costs
$100,000,000,000 lifetime costs
“Condemning” your private property (government seizing it for this project)
Transmission costs over $12,000,000,000 by 2033.
Over $100 extra to YOUR yearly energy bill
Texas projected to have the MOST data centers by 2030
That’s the bullet pointed version of Big Tech’s plan for your land and money.
The worst part is, this is not even fixing the problem, which is Texans having access to reliable energy.
All of this is done without your approval or vote. Bureaucracy.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.
Private property ownership is fundamental to a free society. Any regime that wants to take it away from you, should be scrutinized.
It's insane that we're constantly having this conversation about whether kids should be allowed in restaurants etc, meanwhile people bring their dogs everywhere. We now live in a society where dogs are more welcome in public than human children. It's psychotic.
There were massive international protests over George Floyd and those police involved were severely punished with long prison sentences, yet the police responsible here did not even lose their jobs!
An incredibly unjust double-standard!
I don’t think this hantavirus thing is anything to worry about. The pandemic risk is extremely low. But the problem is that our “public health authorities” permanently destroyed their credibility with covid, so if there ever is an apocalyptic pandemic nobody will believe them.
THIS IS FAR FROM OK.
Anthony Tyrone Jessie Long was arrested after praying in a stranger’s driveway and allegedly threatening to kill the family “in the name of Allah.”
We do not have to live like this…
Americans are suffering. It is way too expensive just to live for most families. Our cities aren’t safe. Our country is being transformed every day by foreign migration. Our elections aren’t secure. The SAVE act was not passed and won’t be passed. It’s time to end this war in Iran and focus on our country, our people, our future. Far too much of Trump’s second term has been spent on foreign adventures. It has to end. Turn the attention back home.
John Thune took a 2-week vacation knowing his DHS funding deal wouldn't pass the House.
Thankfully, Trump can call the Senate back in "on extraordinary occasions" like, I dunno, a WAR.
So please, President Trump, invoke Article II Section 3 and GET JOHN THUNE'S ASS BACK TO D.C.
Every single Senate Democrat just voted against a proposal that would require photo ID in nationwide elections
A complete shock to absolutely nobody
The Dems hate America
🚨 No more games, @LeaderJohnThune
Including the SAVE America Act in another reconciliation package is a fake promise that won’t ever see the light of day, and you know it.
Proof of citizenship to vote is non-negotiable, over 85% of Americans demand it.
Stop the delay tactics, we see you!
