We have updated our snow removal plan, increased on-call pay for snow plow drivers, and are putting in place a contingency agreement with a contractor that will allow us to move quickly if conditions are more severe than what the City can handle.

We want everyone to feel welcome when visiting us! Here’s a quick walkthrough from the accessible parking spaces to the ADA entrance at City Hall. Need extra assistance? The Office on the Disabled can meet you at your car or lend you a wheelchair, give them a call: 314-622-3686.
I’m disappointed the bill to reduce the fees to run for city offices failed in committee.
$700+ is too much - it’s more than the fee to run for Congress.
Candidates have to get signatures, prove residency, pay city bills and taxes, run an election. Filing should be affordable.
the “em dashes mean ai” conspiracy thing is so annoying bc until this month nobody used em dashes more frequently (and incorrectly) than political comms and digital staff
@moll_aj Yes - not only is it a service, not a business, but it's a right. The policies needed to make it not operate at a loss are rather simple: remove the pre-funding mandate, remove the inflation-only cap, and remove the prohibitions on it expanding services provided.
If you want to compare CSB claims made during this administration and the last administration, I used the city's public dataset as an excuse to learn how to code.
When calculating the averages I ignored all claims that were 0 or took more than a year.

As we enter the city's budget season, I mapped the CSB complaints made this year to see where we might need to allocate more resources in the next budget.
I isolated the snow complaints so you could remove them if desired given the unique circumstance.

@jrosenbaum 3 things factor into one's ability to be nominated for this award - but the one that directly addresses your tweet is that you are considered "new" based on when you break into the upper echelon of the industry, not when you started going public.
@stlcsb@VDanielaV I appreciate the update. The residential dumpsters are also overflowing in the same alleyway. Would it be best for me to submit another photo, but focus on the residential dumpsters, to get that noted?
@stlcsb, please note that every dumpster in the alleyway that connects Shenandoah to Cleveland, just West of Grand, are overflowing.
CC: Aldw. @VDanielaV for your record
@TessYocom@tschlic With this situation, all we can do is fill out a CSB form and email the administration asking for them to prioritize a few streets in our ward. Normally we have access to a list of streets and how soon they will get cleared, but that's not in use since things are a bit scrambled
@VirvusJ Got my notebook in hand and am eager to learn what an Ald. can sponsor or do that'll make things better for us next year. A lot of people have been vaguely gesturing that the BoA can do more, but given your tenure and expertise I am hopeful we can get into specifics
@SenatorNasheed Secondary trauma is trauma that you develop, where the traumatic event is something that did not directly happen to you. You can develop secondary trauma by listening to someone recount their trauma or being a witness to something traumatic happening.
@GConnolly314@ArchCityDefense No, many Alders even stayed late and were conversing with the protesters who were in the gallery. The doors were locked probably 30 minutes after they ended their session today.
@MikeAMilton314 We only towed vehicles that were abandoned. If a vehicle in our city's database showed signs of repair, we left it. Slow repairs are understandable; our goal is to address truly neglected and abandoned cars. Always happy to hear creative ideas, my city email starts with HeskampM.
@SenatorNasheed 100% of the people who we talked to were enthusiastic about the towing considering the condition of the cars and/or the length they were abandoned. We don't tow every vehicle since we work with NIS, CSB, and neighbors to determine if the cars are abandoned or being repaired.
Congratulations to @MattHeskamp, my staffer aka my “confidant, teammate, and equal since he is not my subordinate”! I'm glad he's still by my side from Jefferson City to St. Louis!
After many complaints, cars running throwing this intersection, plenty of @kzieff videos/tweets about and new the lack of traffic safer, and oh yeah a new Alderman(@AlderSheenBean 😉). We are finally getting a speed hump outside of @CrownCandy!
