@7NewsAdelaide@rspcasa@laurenrose7 Can you please report the truth? Tas and NT have duck seasons too. NSW has duck hunting under a Game Bird Management program. So most states/territories have duck hunting, not just 2.
@abcnews The statement "South Australia and Victoria are the only two mainland states which allow recreational duck hunting" is misleading. NT and Tasmania have open seasons and NSW has a gamebird management program. The fact is duck hunting occurs in 5 states/territories of Australia.

@7NewsAdelaide@rspcasa Seems the ducks up in the Riverland are enjoying the floods and breeding again with all this new habitat... Totally opposite to RSPCA and The Green's claims of populations declines. #StopTellingLies
If you or a friend or family member are driving a harvester this season... why not count some stubble quail in a paddock or two for a citizen science project.

If you are looking to do something a little bit different this year during harvest time in South Australia, why not give counting stubble quail a go?

@abcadelaide@PenolaStation The SSAA Farmer Assist program is ready to go and has the ability to put many boots on the ground to help landholders in need. It only takes a couple of minutes to register 24/7. @Farmer_Assist

@PenolaStation Great Pic. You should get yourself a thermal monocular to gain an advantage when playing cat and mouse. ROI wouldn't take long. See my column on pg 8 of the latest AS for some insight.
We are currently collecting samples (fox ear tissue samples) from fox carcasses across Australia with the aid of the public. If you, or anyone you know would be able to help we'd love to hear from you. Please see https://t.co/8Td29ryc5X for more information on the project.
Oh! look over there... nothing to see here!
PS majority of research I've seen from old CSIRO papers indicates that most game species start breeding late July/August in a regular season.
Duck hunters have accused the Game Management Authority of changing duck breeding dates to keep the season at just 20 days. Full story: https://t.co/WU9mrZVH24
