While filming THERE WILL BE BLOOD in Texas, PTA’s production overlapped with NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. A test of the oil derrick fire sent a plume of smoke into the distance, drifting into a shot the Coens were filming & forcing them to wait for it to clear.
@_Njay3 How LeBron, Wade, and Bosh handled their joining forces was very tone-deaf and arrogant, fueling everyone's contempt for them.
I'll say this: KD Warriors may not get as much hate, but they get much less respect because it was too easy.
Reminds me of the Mad Hatter episode of Batman: The Animated Series.
When Mad Hatter tells Batman all his life for the girl he likes to feel the same way (against her will), Batman tells him that all he's been waiting for is a puppet, a soulless doll.
Inde Navarette's star-making role in Obsession is the NBA equivalent of Victor Oladipo's breakout with the Pacers or Lauri Markkanen's breakout with the Jazz.
The fact that we did not know what they were capable of made the experience even better!
Really happy for her and hope it gets better from here, and kudos to Obsession for casting her instead of Jenna Ortega (KEEP READING).
Ortega's a quality actress, but going with an unknown helped make the film feel more mysterious because audiences didn't know what to expect.
Inde Navarrette in OBSESSION (2026) is the kind of casting that makes a movie work. The role asks her to be charming, unsettling, sympathetic, terrifying, and sometimes all at once. By the end, it’s impossible to imagine anyone else playing Nikki.
@TA1297 This reminds me of when they used the Hayward TPE on Evan Fournier and Josh Richardson strictly because their teams didn't want them & they had no market.
Even if the ROI was not fantastic, that's about as ideal a return as you can get on a big TPE.
@NavoSchmavo@Kameron_Hay It's not that she was/wasn't. It's that she was willing to be. She was giving Bear the chance to come clean.
The others weren't. Bear wasn't willing to let her know how he felt, nor was Ian willing to tell Bear what he had done, nor was Sarah willing to tell Bear how she felt.

With Netflix seemingly on the verge of canceling yet another show after one season, this scene from BARRY (2018–2023) feels more relevant than ever. Bill Hader absolutely nailed it.
