@KatyDornbos We use Living by Chemistry for our intro chem course. I am in-between "often" and "rarely". Depends on the topic. I directly teach how to read a chem book and how to take notes from textbooks, so I tend to use the book more often in the beginning.

@IBchemmilam Then end of week involves summarizing each page of notes (again different color) no promblem and groups comparing summaries to group mates to check for missed understandings. Need to provide time in class to build these habits.

District: Give multiple ways to demonstrate learning. Avoid MC tests. You must allow for retakes, but they should look different from the original.

Also: Here's your online training, if you get it wrong you will have to do the exact same multiple choice test over again.
