@Timothy_Garland @WinterthurMuse Hi @Timothy_Garland For our "non-traditional" method for bed hangings and window hangings we try to make sure the weight is evenly distributed so that there is less physical strain on the textiles. Velcro is our current preferred method, but we have also used snap tape.
Yes it was #theyearofstupid in the #USA. #Massshootings: news that shocks no one. Nazis: walking streets made possible by those who had killed them 75 yrs ago. #Earth: some people think it’s #flat. #federalemployees: No pay during holidays, thanks prez!
Prompted by @Twitter here’s what I think l of #2018. It was a #yearofstupid. It came swaddled in a pre-filled diaper, grewup in a neglectful household & is leaving a broken geriatric with zero income in a senior center no one visits. TBC
@kittycalash @musecollworker Pretty sure ditto for us at the big W! “Parts of a whole” as opposed to “their own self within the whole group” as opposed to “an individual piece not associated with another object”. Sooo 3 ways to number #! 😃
@FoundInMuseums Depends. If torn out and entirely new: "new exhibition installation". If installing new pieces in an existing Gallery spaces with a pre-existing theme, such as "Textiles" or "Metals" objects typically are considered rotated out and new ones in.
