@MasterMaliq Maybe we should ask what sort of saints these religions produce. Christianity has produced countless martyrs who would rather be killed that kill. Who have served the poorest of the poor. Who have given their lives to educate, baptize, heal the world, forsaking their own lives.
@MasterMaliq How did St.Gabriel go from being the patron of the Jews and the one who visited Mary and told her she would give birth to the Messiah to the one who inspired a very different religion which persecutes the Jews and Christians? Maybe, it wasn't Gabriel.
@ewarren Start doing your job removing fraud and abuse, balance the budget, cut wreckless spending, observe immigration law, and maybe we'll trust you with more money.
@TheEconomist Jesus was merely charismatic?! No. He was raised from the grave and there were witnesses. Mohammad, Marx and Genghis Kahn are in the grave. Christ is King.
@MasterMaliq That's true. The problem is the human soul and religion is one of the best ways to mediate that when it's adherents seek peace and pursue it.
@AzPetrich Islam has a 1300 year history of murdersome conquest, martyring Christians into submission. You are only peaceful when you are a small minority or in control.
@donwinslow Because undocumented immigrants do not have legal work authorization, tracking their tax contributions requires statistical modeling rather than exact accounting. This leaves the data open to distortion by different political groups.
@donwinslow False and misleading. According to a study by the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP), undocumented immigrants paid an estimated $96.7 billion in combined federal, state, and local taxes in 2022 (including sales, property, payroll, and income)
@donwinslow This comparison misleadingly contrasts the entire economic footprint and broad tax base of millions of undocumented workers with the selective category of federal income tax paid by four specific corporate entities.
