Day 58 of Making Every Former MLB Player 1 of 1: Matt Nokes
Matt Nokes is the only player in #MLB history with over 30 home runs (32) as an exclusively lefty-hitting catcher.
Ben Rice has 22 this year. He’s most likely not going to approach a record like this this season, but I think he could rival it in 2026. 👍

Appreciate the shoutout 🙏
Records aren’t meant to last forever — they’re made to be broken.
Ben Rice, you’re having a tremendous season, and I’d be honored if you’re the one to pass me.
That’s the beauty of this game — every generation gets to leave its mark.
Keep it going. Go Yankees ⚾️

@kptbaseballfan @NGUBaseball@BleauKennedy13@KingsportAxmen I'm excited to follow North Greenville U!
Having an all big league staff is really impressive and I'd love to visit and get the 50cent tour. Looking forward to watching what you've built for this coming season.
@FiveToolOK@E_work405@Mlionsbaseball Oh wow I liked that swing. That looked like a big league approach. Connected. Short. On Time. For his weight into it!
This looks amazing and is definitely a step in the right direction. I see too many college programs where hitters get little to no live coach BP and if they do its up way too close, rapid fire making it difficult to model their pitch.
It's my suspicion the sentiment is that hitting problems are simply mechanical issues when in fact hitting is about timing in 4 areas.
MLB 4D FIT Timing Model [FIT - fully integrated timing]
1. Mindset - sitting on your pitch.
2. Mechanics - repeatable swing timeline.
3. Timing - managing the pitch timeline.
4. The Map - modeling your pitch, zoning and orienting approach to point of contact.
Big league hitters are successful because they manage timing well. It's a Timing Model and if this machine can give hitters something that approaches a live arm so they can start modeling their pitch...this is a big step in the right direction especially if you don't have any coaches throwing regular BP.
I'm looking forward to a live demonstration to witness the flow, lighting and release timing with the machine.
The Marlins have invested in Trajekt machines, per @CDeNicola13. They're pitch replication robots equipped with the arsenals, release points and videos of pitchers around the league.
Started using one in Jupiter this week and adding another at loanDepot park this season.
The #1 Reason You Keep Missing Your Pitch [And How to Fix It]
How many times have you changed your hitting approach based on the latest social media jargon, only to see no real improvement?
The truth is, mechanical cues won’t save you—but mastering timing will.
Big league hitters don’t just swing harder or tweak their mechanics endlessly. They follow natural timing principles—and that’s exactly what I’m teaching in this video.
⚾ The 4D F.I.T. Timing Model™ gives you:
✅ A repeatable swing timeline
✅ The ability to see and manage pitch timing
✅ A real map for adjusting to any pitch
✅ The confidence to DOMINATE at the plate
If you're tired of guessing and chasing mechanical fixes, it’s time for a real transformation. Watch now.

Rickey Henderson’s passing is a profound loss for baseball. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and everyone who knew him best. Playing against him for 10 years, I saw firsthand why he’s the greatest leadoff hitter of all time.
As Darrell Evans reminded me, ‘We were all too aware how he was in scoring position from the batter’s box.’ His ability to hit leadoff, first-pitch home runs and it had a signature look to it.
A Hall of Famer with over 3,000 hits, a record 81 leadoff homers and hit damn near 300 of them…Rickey never missed his pitch.
It was going to be someone and I was honored to be catching when he set the all-time stolen base record ending with 1406 SBs [staggering] - a moment I’ll never forget. Rest in peace, Rickey.
Elon Musk showing up to meetings with world leaders—carrying his 3-year-old on his shoulders—is a whole new vibe. You don’t see a dad too often walking through the halls of Congress with his son. Looks good showing his fatherhood—balancing world - changing responsibilities to save future generations financial future…Honestly, it’s pretty gangster. Respect. @elonmusk
As a father and grandfather myself - I’m sure other dads agree you can tell he’s having fun. He’s the maverick we need - confident, obviously beyond competent yet quite possibly the only one with the will to pursue this impossible task.
Speaking as one of “the people” we’re all in awe! I’ve also appreciated all the billionaire’s recently expressing their awe in his abilities and acknowledging he’s a national treasure. Maybe “he is an alien”.
@BehizyTweets@Timcast Keep up the good work. We’ve needed integrity and it’s obvious we need watchdogs to keep voting free and fair.
I’m in favor of:
• Voting day national holiday
• Paper ballots
• Voter ID
…just common sense. Presumably we’d know the results by end of Election Day.
As we’ve talked about, it’s easy to judge from the stands, but there’s often more to the story. Big league guys are expected to make tough plays, but hearing their perspective is key. I’m glad you broke it down—put the critics in Rizzo’s shoes, and they’d see it differently. #Yankees #MLB #Rizzo #YankeesBaseball #BigLeagueMindset #FormerYankee
