@PeteATurner You're right. We didn't steal them. The NFL (Raiders) and MLB (A's) gave them to us. Which is even more gross.
Why? Because this is a first and foremost a baseball city. And MLB will soon expand. We ABSOLUTELY would've gotten that team. Then our own NBA team. NFL woulda followed
Unlike the Raiders and A's, they're OUR team — we didn't steal them from another city.
And unlike the Raiders and A's, our spineless state reps didn't hand bags of cash to billionaire owners to build a playing facility. T-Mobile Arena was 100% privately funded.
2016 changed Las Vegas forever. That was the year the Golden Knights were announced, and the following year, in 2017, the Golden Knights and the City of Las Vegas became intertwined forever.
This team is in the blood of everyone here in Las Vegas. The Knights are you and you are the Knights.
The third cup appearance in nine years is not something to scoff at.
The Success of this team has driven the success of our city. It started with a team full of misfits who came and changed Las Vegas forever. Now we have city legends who mean the world to us.
This City is hockey and hockey is the city. You drive down any neighborhood or street you will see a Knights flag or merch. This team has done so much and will always be OUR team.
Thank you @goldenknights for everything.

Through 55 games, the @Padres have scored exactly …
3 runs 8 times
2 runs 10 times
1 run 5 times
0 runs 6 times
So three runs or fewer in 29 of 55 games
Somehow, in the 23 games where they scored 3, 2 or 1 run, they went 9-14
The @nyknicks in close-out games in these playoffs:
Won by 51 (and scored 140)
Won by 30 (and scored 144)
Won by 37 (and scored 130)
I’m starting to think the NBA’s Eastern Conference is the equivalent of the NFL’s NFC South … or MLB’s American League
It's May 6. Roughly 23% of the MLB season is in the books.
And 18 of 30 teams are under .500 (inc. 12 of 15 in the AL).
Only teams more than 2 games over .500:
Braves (26-11)
Yankees (25-11)
Cubs (24-12)
Rays (23-11)
Dodgers (22-14)
Padres (21-14)
Cards (21-14)
Reds (20-16)
Of all the Mets barbs that have appeared in my feed — and there have been many! — this one ⬇️ is the winner!
(And bonus points that it was posted by someone who quotes a Van Halen lyric in their bio)
Flyers-Penguins score at the end of the first period: 0-0
Sens-Canes score at the end of the first period: 1-0
1P UNs through the first 9 #StanleyCup playoff games: 9-0
@RoyRogers_HTMS "The FUCK are they gonna do now?" - the prevailing question hovering over VH after Roth bolted.
The answer started with this performance.
For a faction of VH fans, it was (and remains) horrifying. For THIS VH fan, it was the launch of a new — and equally kick-ass — band!
