Does a script make a bad teacher better? Does it move them from actively causing harm to doing something useful?

Are there many teachers who stink at planning (to the point where they need an actual script) but are solid at everything else? Genuinely curious.

Scripted curriculum (of high quality) is good for students and teachers. It provides clarity and cohesiveness for students and lightens the preparation time and pressure for teachers.

@mathillustrated Yup. I’m all about handing someone a good curriculum. I read the term “script” to mean something different and more rigid.

@0Beanie05923291 Hm. Glad you’ve seen it. I just haven’t. The same folks who can’t plan also can’t manage a classroom or do anything else. When you hand them a script they are just as bad at the job, just more stilted as they stiffly follow the script.
