@ElcombeAnderson Hi Caroline, you use Twitter even less than I do... I don't know if you'll see this but if you do, I'm hoping to report on the latest attempt to sell Hadlow Tower (I'm very local to Hadlow). Wonder if you could email me at [email protected] and I'll explain more...
So veteran parents, tell me how this dropping eldest child at university thing works… is it slow to second gear, body roll and off or crying in the corridor while all his new mates snigger?
5 days later: ORR is "aware of recent media reports" on Euston. The massive advertising LED has just been switched off (despite Network Rail claiming that the small departure boards installed on the concourse as part of a £1.5m upgrade helped with flow).
I spent a day at Euston so you don’t have to… unless you have to get to Brum, Manchester, Liverpool, Crewe, Preston, Wigan, Glasgow… Nat Rail says Euston is safe. Not what I saw. As @frankcottrell_b says, “It’s an accident waiting to happen.”

And follow rail engineer @GarethDennis who has paid a high price for giving his verdict on Euston… he said the station was unsafe and, after the alarming overcrowding I witnessed on Thursday, he’s plainly right. And should be allowed to say what he thinks.

@FreakyEmporium Can you drop me an email at [email protected] as and when you have a second? Just want to ask a quick question about your Euston 400-metre dash ;)

Sir Max Hill joins two other DPPs @KenMacdonaldKC & @Keir_Starmer who believe British society and vulnerable people are not well served by the blanket ban and it should be reformed.

An addendum to the eduflap column… if your eldest leaves school and doesn’t change his Spotify email, then forgets the password, you need Oceans 11 style skills to sort it out…
@EmSilverwood91@caoimhinof If I’d written it today it would have included a whole new but on trying to upload homework on a Mac to eduflap’s office365. Gah!
