Two years off from running.
Travel. Work. Life. Excuses.
Today I officially registered for the 2026 @nycmarathon .
This year is my comeback.
Half marathon first.
Strength work.
Early mornings.
Consistency.
I’m 42. I travel for work. I live a full life.
If an ordinary guy can rebuild from scratch, anyone can.
Lacing up @newbalance like I always do.
Follow along — we’re building this in real time.

“In Washington, there is a growing habit of talking about smoking as if it were yesterday’s problem. It is not. Roughly 25 million American adults still smoke cigarettes, and far too many have been left out of the public health conversation.” @RepTomPrice

Hey @AmericanAir I wanted to flag that flight attendant Brian on flight 422 today from DCA to MIA has really been exceptional going above and beyond and representing the company quite well. I don’t have my EP coupons on me but can you make sure he gets recognition. Thank you!
@TruncaliJohn@CDCgov@US_FDA Couldn’t agree more John. My colleague wrote about this for Older Americans month in The Well News and I thought you might be interested. https://t.co/q4M8BU53Li
It’s also something we talk about in our recent white paper on https://t.co/011GC6vFJZ
Excited & grateful to join the newest cohort of @InstituteForPR .
Looking forward to learning from this group of comms professionals and continuing to grow alongside leaders across industries during such a dynamic moment for our profession.
Thank you to IPR for the opportunity!
To my friends in the public health community and the journalists
covering them: I respect your political opposition to the president.
Yet when his policies are consistent with the science and long-
established public health approaches, you owe it to your profession...
Fantastic OpEd:
“Policymakers should resist the temptation to talk about flavored nicotine products only in the context of youth use. For many adults who smoke, smoke-free products may be worth considering precisely because they are different from 🚬 .”

IQOS is the most popular heated tobacco product (HTP) in the world. Manufacturer Philip Morris International will soon relaunch IQOS in the United States after a long absence.

I'm looking for comments/statements/posts about last week's FDA authorization of 4 flavored vape pods by Glas. I hope to gather a variety of perspectives, which will be posted on a page on my blog. These posts can be made by experts, politicians, organizations, or individuals.
FDA issued a renewal of modified risk granted orders to Philip Morris Products S.A.’s (PMP S.A.) for two IQOS system holders and chargers and three flavors of HeatSticks products.

My grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, friends’ parents — and even me — everyone smoked when I was growing up.
It is my older relatives who still do. Quitting hasn’t worked. I wish they received an accurate message from taxpayer funded public health agencies about nicotine

🚨 FDA released the 2025 National Youth Tobacco Survey. Here are the numbers, and it's good news if you don't want kids using nicotine, bad news if you want to try to use kids to justify prohibition:
High school past-30-day use:
• E-cigarettes: 7.1%
• Nicotine pouches: 2.2%
• Cigarettes: 1.8%
• Any combustible: 3.5%
Middle+high combined:
• E-cigarettes: 5.2%
• Cigarettes: 1.4%
• Nicotine pouches: 1.6%

For those that know me — you know that the Middle East has always been a special place having traveled to many of the places in the Gulf. Checked in on friends in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar. All are ok except one that is stuck in Kuwait. Many of the places we visited have been impacted. Really at a loss for words.
