To put into context pig will have cost farmer ~£180 to produce, so he’s already £180 down before levy.
This product will still go into the supply chain & at retail will deliver back ~£600 to retailer.I’ll hazard a guess at ~£400 back to processor

@AnnaLongthorp It is annoying in all businesses. The bigger the customer, the worse they tend to be. Start charging an accumulative 2% fee on the invoice charge for every delayed week. Those wanting longer terms u can build cost in to factor extended terms. But u probably already know that 😁

Interesting isn't it? We have an RNLI now putting people in danger. A National Trust that can't be trusted with our heritage. A Foreign Office that eschews the national interest. A Labour party that hates the working class. A homophobic gay rights organisation. Universities that refuse to question orthodoxy. A border force that disagrees with enforcing the border. A Church that dislikes Christianity. An army that disapproves of patriotism. An air force that doesn't like its white pilots. A parliament that hates democracy. A race relations industry that promotes racism. A farming lobby that hates farmers and agriculture. A bird charity that loves wind turbines. All of our institutions have be turned against us.

Never thought I'd say this but we need to be more 'French' about it with public and farmers voting with their feet. Just stop buying foreign pork, period. The £ talks. Sadly we are never taught provenance!

Local, high welfare, premium, higher plane of Quality and provenance, restaurant and home. There is a mis-match in marketing and driven by the retailers. How do we tackle?
