@NrsNeedsCoffee@keeeeeeeeelz@bmj_latest@will_s_t I agree that everyone is different - we spend quite a lot of the main article talking about that in fact, and how it makes research in this area tricky. The idea was to provide a toolkit that people could adapt to their own needs. Good luck!
Before looking into anesthesia delivery in #deepspace, we might focus on resuscitation, life support and monitoring skills. But this @nature review is good for starters.

Delighted our sleep strategies article will be on the cover of @bmj_latest tomorrow. Hopefully people will be able to use some of the ideas to make their own shift work a little easier. https://t.co/9wSeqBkwl6
@keeeeeeeeelz@NrsNeedsCoffee@bmj_latest@will_s_t Ha! I'm one of the people who did this chart. Have done 5 years as an auxiliary nurse/HCA, ten years as a doc in EM, anaesthesia & ICU. Done a few night shifts... :) Just because the system isn't set up for the welfare of staff, it doesn't mean we can't try to make it better...?
@DrAliceWood @EllisMarianne@bmj_latest@will_s_t Hello - I'm Matt, one of the authors, that is exactly the idea behind pre-nap caffeine. While the evidence behind napping is far from perfect, perhaps there should be a serious discussion about building naps into night shifts?
@RichardWiseman Night School was the first book I read when I began finding #nightshifts really miserable. It inspired me to try a whole bunch of #sleep strategies, making work much more bearable, and finally inspired this article, out today: https://t.co/Ku7MamjSu4 Thanks Prof!
