🌟 Dave Van Horn 🌟

Dave Van Horn has authored one of the most accomplished careers in NCAA Division I baseball history. A three-time SEC Coach of the Year, Van Horn has amassed more than 1,500 victories over a distinguished career that includes 24 seasons leading @RazorbackBSB. During his tenure in Fayetteville, he has transformed Arkansas into one of the nation's premier programs, compiling 974 victories, eight College World Series appearances, 22 NCAA Tournament berths, three SEC regular-season championships, eight SEC Western Division titles, and an SEC Tournament championship. Since returning to his alma mater in 2003, Van Horn has developed generations of elite student-athletes, producing 43 All-Americans, three Golden Spikes Award winners, and 155 MLB Draft selections while establishing the Razorbacks as a perennial national contender and becoming one of only a select group of coaches in college baseball history to lead multiple programs to the College World Series.

Van Horn's success has extended well beyond Arkansas. Prior to returning to Fayetteville, he guided Nebraska to two College World Series appearances and four NCAA Tournament berths in five seasons while helping establish the Cornhuskers as a national power. Earlier head coaching stops at Northwestern State and Central Missouri produced conference championships and postseason success, further illustrating a career marked by winning and program building at every stop.

College recruiting is in such a weird place right now.

Most schools have players reporting in the next 2-3 weeks for school to start, and there are still so many really talented players waiting on offers from schools that have no idea they even exist.

It’s almost as if everyone forgets that even if a player gets a new offer this week, you still have to apply, register, send over transcripts and shot records, find housing, etc at your next school after you commit.

All these things take real time. You do not just commit the day before school starts, and show up in class the next day.

If you did not get the offer you wanted this summer, I truly hate that for you. A lot of you deserve better. But school is starting either way in a few weeks, rather you deserve better or not.

This has nothing to do with our program, we have a small army of great players. As someone who loves college baseball, I hate it for the sport and I hate it for all the players who need baseball to get an education.

If you are reading this, and you have an offer from school that has invested in you and has shown that they want you, now is the time to invest back in them and commit.

It’s August! It is time to get on campus and actually play baseball. Some people love to play the recruiting process way more than play the actual games!
