Had a guy, who called himself a psychic, call me three times today. He told me that the #Bills will win the Super Bowl in 2027, and the #Sabres will win the Stanley Cup in 2026. Take that for what it’s worth.
Sean McDermott didn’t blow it with his draft picks. Sean McDermott didn’t mismanage the cap so badly Josh Allen may never get real help. Sean McDermott didn’t act like a child when someone dared question him.
Brandon Beane is the real problem.
Wanted to sleep on it before gathering my thoughts, just to make sure I wasn't speaking out of raw emotion and allowing myself to get snarky.
Slept on it. Here's my brain dump:
The lack of a true WR1 after 2 offseasons (and 2 trade deadlines) is indefensible. There's no excuse for that end of the roster being in the shape it's in. 100% indefensible.
There's no reason this team should be in cap jail right now. Looking at where some of the money is being spent, and then comparing it to related usage/production is baffling.
The team seemed mentally unprepared for the game yesterday. Completely taken by surprise that Miami was going to put up a fight. How in the world, nine seasons into a coaching regime, is that allowed to happen?
The play-calling on offense has been unimaginative and predictable. A team with Josh Allen at the helm should not have the #2 rushing play percentage in the NFL.
Not going to speculate but feels like something is up with Allen. That needs to get righted quickly. Dude just doesn't look comfortable back there.
Why are there so many injuries this year? Is it just bad luck or is there some kind of training issue that needs to be addressed?
Tackling attempts overall were brutal yesterday. Embarrassing.
Ultimately it feels like this team is built and focused almost solely on beating one team and one specific team only. Maybe that's an unfair statement on my part but that's where I'm at.
