SDHS 2024/DCP 2024 National LHP 6,4” 175 lbs

‘24 #MarsHill commit Matthew Wright (@DecaturBasebal1)

Continue to really like this 6-4 southpaw. FB ticks into the low-80s, mixing his pitches well. Flashed an occasional CB, with a CH getting whiffs below the zone.

@PrepBaseballMD

[Prospect Select @PSBaseballinc]

Matthew Wright (‘24,MD) • Lanky build at 6’4, 170 pounds w/ room to grow. Strong performance for @DcpShowcase at #BlackBear, allowing one run over six innings. FB sat low 8s, T83, and forced s/m w/ SL and CH. #Uncommitted

‘24 LHP Matthew Wright (@DecaturBasebal1/@DcpShowcase)

Long, lean 6-4, 170 w/ room to fill. Feel for FB to AS, working to knees and painting corner. Tight SL that has back foot tendencies to RHH

FB: 80-82, T83
SL: 72-73

Singles up the middle. DCP 2024 up in bottom of the second 4-0.

Big afternoons from @Ryder037 @AJKolb2 & @NBerzonski … but we cant overlook how incredible young @MattWright0108 was! Matt gets so much movement on everything he throws, never gets rattled on the mound, & keeps the team hype when hes in the dugout.

Another @DecaturBasebal1 dude here

Long limbed LHP who showcases consistent feel for the secondary arsenal. Once this frame fills out (there’s plenty of room for it), look for the velo to increase immensely.

Very intriguing ‘24 here in @MattWright0108

WOW. Just WOW.

This was absolutely amazing to watch @NBerzonski throw three no-hit innings while striking out five.

This kid is absolutely special, great to witness in person!

Really like this arm in ‘24 LHP Matthew Wright (@DecaturBasebal1)

Shutdown the top of the Cape lineup in the first. FB sitting mainly low-80s. Has precise location and command with the CH and SL. Impressive.

FB: 80-82, T83
CH: 75-77
SL: 73-75

‘24 SS/OF AJ Kolb (@DecaturBasebal1)

Good outing from the #PBRFG22 alum. FB sat low to mid-80s, using his BB as a K pitch.

FB: 80-83, T85 x1
CB: 74-75

Decatur leads 2-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth.

The @CNU_Baseball commit continues to put on a show this year, ripping a single into LCF.

Decatur still leads 1-0 after three.

Good look at the uncommitted junior. FB sat high-70s to low-80s, mixing in the BB occasionally.

FB: 78-82
CH: 70-72

Game is scoreless heading to the bottom of the second.

Tall upright stance. Loose hands with calm controlled load. Unloads on this baseball for a double off the left field fence.
