@longislandviper The reason soccer does running clock is to ensure the game is 2 hours long (90 minutes + halftime) no matter how the game goes (lots of fouls or continuous action)

Which is the truth, in fact that would be the solution to the NBA's tanking issue but they'd never institute that type of system. The owners would not accept it.

@Prominent_Bryan To me basketball is more about stamina than physicality. But it's also more star based while hockey is more about depth mattering. Which is part of the difficulty.
Baseball is just a different set of skills, but not as gruelling physically.

That's why it has to densify and isn't even close to reaching a mark for affordability.
