@Cu_As I still feel terrible for the multiple times that happened with your work for FutureSox. They did it to my videos as well. I really grew to despise MLBAM.
This is perhaps the most illuminating thing I’ve ever read about Trump𝙞𝙨𝙢, as opposed to Trump himself.
This New Hampshire GOP voter is angry. But he doesn’t really know 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 he’s angry about. He 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨 to be angry. He 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 know 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙢 he is angry at—the people who he thinks run the country and who he thinks think themselves better than he. He wants to harm them, even if it harms him, and even if it harms the country—indeed, 𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 if it harms the country, because he thinks harming the country is the best way to harm the people he wants to harm.
We need to talk less about the turtles, and more about the system that puts them on the post and keeps them there.
End gerrymandering. End the Electoral College. Give DC and all US territories votes and representation.
Make our representatives and leaders earn the job.
@Nick_BPSS Yeah and of course that's different, and doesn't seem supported by facts. It was a tangential story but it's the closest I could come up with. Also in this case he found out directly from us, not via public post.
@Nick_BPSS FTR, we did due diligence first. It was just a really weird scenario, the FO waited too long to call him, the player had been out of contact for a bit, and our timing ended up hitting a narrow window by coincidence.
@Nick_BPSS An obscure example, but we (FutureSox) once accidentally broke a trade... to the player who was traded. Not kidding. He (minor leagues) heard from us just before the team reached him. There's a whole story with it but that's the basics.
These capabilities are literally the two reasons why I even bother keeping Twitter. Did Meta just create a text-only Facebook and decide that was going to magically compete with Twitter? Just stunningly business-stupid.
This is terrible news a poor business decision. James is exactly what a Sox beat writer should be and was the reason I subscribed to @TheAthleticCHI. I'll be ending that now. (but good on James for announcing the news with good humor)
@cowhitchurch I watched his full season Minors debut, in Winston-Salem, from the scout seats with a gun. First batter he faced: 101, 102, 101. Confirmed on a second scout gun. Guy could bring it something fierce.
