The next stop on the journey.
Thrilled to share that I’ve accepted a sports anchor/reporter job at WMC Action News 5 in Memphis. I’m pumped to join a legacy station in Tennessee covering all things Grizzlies, Tigers, and much more in the Mid-South.
NEW: The College Football 27 cover will feature Oregon QB Dante Moore, Miami WR Malachi Toney, and Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy, @PeteNakos reports🎮
The official cover is set to be released tomorrow.

ESPN sources: The Eagles are trading Pro-Bowl WR A.J. Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick that is the better of New England’s two fifths. The deal that has been speculated on for weeks now finally is happening. Brown and Patriots HC Mike Vrabel are reuniting.
I think the Browns did very well in the return they got for a 30-year old who didn’t fit their timeline of whenever they’ll contend again.
I also think the Rams getting an all-time great pass rusher who’s still elite for their all-in window is terrifying for everyone else.
🚨 🚨 🚨
Bombshell: The #Browns are finalizing a trade of Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the #Rams in a shocker, sources tell me, @TomPelissero & @AdamSchefter.
Cleveland would send Garrett to LA in exchange for star edge Jared Verse, a first-rounder, and more.
Yes, it’s true the new lottery system could give the Grizzlies a better chance of landing a decent 1st round pick from the Jazz deal.
It doesn’t change the fact—the principle of what the NBA did is wrong, and it likely eliminates any chance of a high-end outcome for Memphis.

A perfect 3-0 weekend for Ole Miss in Lincoln and the Rebels are off to a Super Regional for the first time since they won it all in 2022.
#DontLetTheRebsGetHot part 2?
@kilocopter It's not a "Chet is bad" take, because I think he'll be fine long-term.
It's a "Chet is expensive and doesn't have the same theoretical upside as Boozer who you'll have for dirt cheap" take.
Chet makes sense for some teams, not the top 3-4 in this draft IMO.
But we know what he is at this point.
-Not a #1 guy
-Very expensive starting next year
-PETRIFIED of the guy everyone is gonna have to go through for the next decade
Boozer is no guarantee, but a free, cheap bet he turns out to be a franchise changing player is better than that
@Matt_Infield He’s an all defensive first team and a guy that doesn’t need the basketball to be effective. The best prospects don’t always pan out it’s easy to see why a team could be tempted especially the thunder have other picks to offer
That argument isn't true because there's no replacement for a true, potential #1 franchise player.
Getting a free swing at one at the top of a historically loaded draft supersedes the "value" of getting a ton of picks from random teams and locking yourself into Chet's contract.
I get the idea, and I’m a huge fan of Cason Wallace’s game.
But I don’t think it would in the slightest, because you’d still be searching for the hardest thing to find: A bonafide #1 option on a championship contender.
And if you don’t have one of those, nothing else matters.
Some sort of Chet for Giannis swap makes much more sense. The fit with SGA is a real question, but financially makes much more sense and Chet might be the best upside/youth play the Bucks can get for Greek Freak.
But the Wizards/Jazz/Grizz? No shot.
Let’s ask ourselves a simple question:
If Cam Boozer is that caliber of prospect…why would any team give up the chance to take him and have him for cheap…to trade for a guy who’s shown he’s a #2/3 option whose 5/$250M contract kicks in next year?
Math ain’t mathing!
"I would trade Chet Holmgren to move up to get Cam Boozer." 👀
@tomhaberstroh tells @KevinOConnor he expects OKC to make some major moves this offseason after its WCF loss to San Antonio 😳
(via the Kevin O'Connor Show)
It’s absolutely awesome for the league the new best player in the world genuinely cares about winning THIS much.
Love to see it.
(Hopefully that’s the last time we see it this year 🤣)
Chet Holmgren is gonna be an easy guy to pile on about.
I think he’s a very good player who’s still got a lot of runway to get better.
But if the presence of #1 on San Antonio takes him completely out of it mentally the way it did in this series, that’s a major problem for OKC.
That’s it from the second home match ever for Memphis FC. ⚽️
It’s a draw against Red River FC.
We appreciate everyone being patient with the late start, thank you Memphis! 💙
I have no idea if Giannis would sign a long-term deal in OKC.
But that feels like the only thing that would keep the Thunder from throwing the kitchen sink at the Bucks to trade for him this summer.
Something major is coming from them after the way this series played out.
