@StewartRamakuri Worship has become a “brand” with many. Worship is a lifestyle and a heart posture towards Jesus and not “song factory”. Songs will show you your heart. “From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” —Jesus
If your heart is full of awe in Jesus, it will come out in song.
Noah prayed, his family were rescued.
Hannah prayed, Samuel was born.
Asa prayed, victory was won.
Isaiah prayed, the Assyrians fell.
Esther prayed, her people were saved.
Elijah prayed, fire fell from heaven.
Jesus prayed, thousands were fed.
God answers our prayers.
A tidal wave of pastor resignations is coming in 2022.
But that wave can be greatly lessened by the most powerful gift a congregation can give: the ministry of encouragement.
Not more vacations and higher salary but ordinary, specific encouragement is what will keep him afloat.
Why does God save despicable, filthy, hell-deserving, corrupted, fallen, powerless, dead, depraved sinners?
Because He loves them.
If that’s not praiseworthy this morning, nothing is.
If you love your neighbour,
stop manipulating your neighbour by twisting Jesus' words.
Many of the people who quote Jesus' words on loving your neighbour do not want you to obey God,
they want you to obey their own preferences on the vaccines with all your heart, soul, mind.
