Went to VT grew up in PA. Fam went to PSU. This is a good take. VT and PSU have similar failed expectations. For y’all you think you should be closer to tOSU on a yearly basis. Franklin couldn’t get you there.
For VT fans we think we should be closer to your recent success, and Franklin can get us there. I think he’ll double down on his ways like an egomaniac, but those ways will be fine within our expectations of success whereas for y’all it was constant reminder of the hump he couldn’t get over.
The online back and forth fundamentally comes down to different perspectives and if it’s more than that then it’s fansbases that are out of touch with reality. I do think PSU can put together a natty roster every 5-10 years, whereas I’m not sure VT can or will. Will we make playoffs, yes, will we win one? Probably not.
Another thing we probably have in common is denial. VT fans are blind to Franklin’s asshole ways and y’all are delusional that Campbell gets you the Natty. I think y’all wanted to badly to reset the Franklin era, and you have it, but I don’t think he gets you over the hump. Do you have the program history and resources to do it, yes, is he the guy, no. And I think part of this frustration is that deep down you know it’s true.
@nickgerli1 Great post. Would be interesting to see graph overlayed on median house price % change during same period. Also, wonder how this looks vs California.
@realEstateTrent Money market sweep + operating account with <$250k + one back up account at other bank w/ $$ to cover payroll in case something happens.
@jakeshieldsajj Evolution has holes. And I think we’ve taken liberties on what dinosaurs look like. Not sure we have a clue what t-rex really looked like.

Local business are going to get hit hard. I’m buying gift cards as a small way to help give them short term cash & in return hearing stories of how they’re going to try to manage through for them and their workers. If you have the means, it’s a small act to help.
