True, it’s not saving a single life. It’s either saving 0 lives in or 4B lives. If every vote is a coin flip (huge if, obviously), the EV of voting blue is about 35,000 lives saved (probability of a tie over 8B coin flips times 4B), while EV of voting Red is 0.5 lives saved (your own life times probability red wins). So with the huge assumption that each vote is 50% chance blue and from a utilitarian perspective, Blue is the clear best choice.
